Here is her story:

Luci Hooks had her first seizure at 4 years old in August 2022, and now experiences 7 to 10 seizures daily. Diagnosed with Rasmussen Syndrome, Luci undergoes numerous tests, monthly infusions, and takes multiple medications daily, but her condition persists.

At age 6, Luci had a Stereoelectroencephalograpy (SEEG) and faces a right-sided hemispherectomy on January 30th. The surgery involves removing the entire right side of her brain. Recovery in Danville will precede 5-6 weeks of rehab in Allentown, where Luci will relearn essential skills.

Her parents, Jennifer and Brian, face the challenge of continuing to work while caring for Luci and their three other children. The financial strain includes medical bills, travel expenses, and regular household costs. Your support for #teamluci during this challenging time is deeply appreciated.
