At just 4.5 years old, Freya has already endured more than most. Born with a rare congenital heart defect—Double Aortic Arch with Vascular Ring—Freya underwent two open-heart surgeries before being diagnosed with a second hidden condition: laryngeal cleft, which causes silent aspiration and chronic illness. Her family continues to travel to Boston Children’s Hospital, the only facility capable of providing the care she needs.
